Material Planner

A global telecommunications company in Netanya is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Material Planner to join their dynamic team. The Material Planner is responsible for managing the availability of materials required for production processes while ensuring customer demand is met efficiently. This position involves overseeing daily supply chain activities, including demand management, supply planning, inventory control, production scheduling, and procurement of raw materials, bulk materials, and packaging components.

Responsibilities

• Generate purchase orders using the MRP system, ensuring timely placement and delivery aligned with production schedules.
• Expedite or reschedule open purchase orders based on production needs.
• Analyze historical data, including sales trends and demand drivers, to inform planning decisions.
• Review material delivery performance and address significant variances in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with production teams and sales departments to understand demand forecasts.
• Utilize and maintain MRP data as the primary tool for planning processes.
• Contribute to inventory management strategies, including the introduction of new products and phase-outs.
• Report and present production-related data in meeting environments.
• Create and maintain statistical reports to support planning activities.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering (mandatory).
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a material planning role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly “Priority” (mandatory).
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with supply chain and production principles.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven experience in influencing and managing cross-functional teams.
• Strong relationship management skills and a results-oriented mindset.
