Embedded Software Consultant (Hands-On Role)

Holosis Health is a pioneering health-tech startup revolutionizing the proactive management of complex chronic conditions. We are looking for a skilled and experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our team in a part-time, hourly-based capacity. Your role will focus on designing and optimizing our edge-based sensing solution, developing modular real-time components, transitioning existing processes to an embedded platform, and ensuring efficient resource management for on-device analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Architecture & Migration: Create a scalable architecture for real-time and non-real-time modules, implement priority-based scheduling, and coordinate seamless data flows.
• Performance Tuning: Quantify computational needs, pinpoint bottlenecks, and optimize code to meet stringent time constraints.
• Edge Deployment: Containerize services for on-device deployment, implement automated testing, and streamline update processes for remote edge systems.
• Technical Collaboration: Work closely with the team to refine requirements, gather feedback, and iteratively shape our roadmap.

What We’re Looking For

• BSc or above in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
• Experience with embedded systems or edge computing
• Proficiency in Python and C++ development for edge devices
• Familiarity with parallelization, resource management, and container-based deployments
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate across cross-functional teams
