Senior Physicist – optics expert

Job description

We are looking for an optics expert with experience in designing and calibrating free space and fiber optics systems. In this role you will:

·        Oversee the development of the optics of our noninvasive blood count analyzer prototype, as well as supporting its operation and dedicated control software.

·        Help bring forth new technologies and implement them in our lab-based prototype before rapidly moving to our clinical site.

·        conduct hands on experiments with various optical modules, including researching relevant hardware, designing optical setups and integrating computer-controlled modules to the experiment code. Conduct close collaboration with international production firms, taking part in the miniaturization of the HemoScope.

You'll be part of a fast-paced HW team with Physicists and software engineers and working in a multi-disciplinary R&D team alongside data scientists and computer vision engineers. 

Qualifications:

• MSc or PhD in Physics or a degree in relevant engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in hands on designing and calibrating optical systems.
• Proficiency in developing and implementing computer code for controlling and integrating hardware components – Python an advantage.
• Ability to read datasheets and research optical and electrooptical components.
