Senior Director of Data Solutions

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Director of Data Solutions who combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership to drive innovation and excellence in data-driven decision-making. This role focuses on leading the development of scalable data solutions while shaping product strategies within the payments domain

As a key leader, you will oversee the design and execution of data platforms, optimize customer experiences, and lead cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business goals. You will work closely with banks, financial institutions, and global teams to advance impactful data initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Define and execute a vision for data strategy that supports business objectives in the payments and financial services sectors
• Data Ecosystem Leadership: Design and implement scalable data architectures, including data lakes, warehouses, and marts, ensuring robust data quality, governance, and compliance.
• Customer Experience Optimization: Develop data-driven strategies to improve customer experiences and create measurable outcomes aligned with OKRs and KPIs.
• Data Modeling Expertise: Oversee the creation and maintenance of data models and entity schemas that support scalability, business analytics, and innovation.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product, R&D, and business leaders to align data strategies with company objectives and market needs.
• Innovation and R&D: Explore emerging technologies to enhance the company’s data capabilities and maintain a competitive edge in the financial sector.
• Problem-Solving: Address complex business and technical challenges through data-driven insights and proactive stakeholder engagement.

Key Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years in data architecture, data engineering, or data-related leadership roles, with a strong focus on payments or financial services.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and data tools (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery). Expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and data governance
• Business Acumen: Proven ability to align data strategies with product goals and customer experience enhancements. Experience working with banks or financial institutions is highly desirable.
• Leadership: Demonstrated success in managing and scaling data teams, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and bridging technical and business domains.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to drive long-term data initiatives that align with organizational goals, focusing on innovation and impact.
• Communication: Strong ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders, from technical teams to executive leadership.
• Adaptability: Thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments with evolving priorities and challenges.
• ISO 20022 Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO 20022 standards is a significant advantage.
