Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Competitive Intelligence Manager at BDO Israel in Tel Aviv-Yafo, with flexibility for some remote work. We are looking for a visionary leader who will join our strategy consulting team to establish a new unit for competitive intelligence. The role involves team building skills, ability to develop strong customer base and perform hands on tasks such as conducting market and competitive analysis, gathering market intelligence, and utilizing analytical skills to provide strategic insights. This role requires a blend of analytical rigor, strategic thinking, and experience across multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Competitive Intelligence & Market Research: Lead the collection and analysis of competitor data, market trends, and customer behavior. Provide insights on competitor strategies and identify and highlight risks, challenges, and opportunities for current and future business, recommend mitigation strategies and differentiation opportunities.
• Tools & Methodologies: Leverage competitive intelligence tools, data platforms, and industry research to automate and streamline competitive intelligence processes. Utilize emerging AI based tools for market and competitive research.
• Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze large datasets, including sales, customer, and market data, to uncover insights and trends that can inform strategic decisions. Build and maintain data models to forecast business threats and opportunities.
• Sales and business development: Align with overall business objectives of our strategy consulting team, define your unit's market positioning, value proposition and services and develop customer base to increase sales.
• Reporting & Presentation: Prepare and present analysis, insights, and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders, ensuring that data-driven decisions are easily understood and actionable. 
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with developments in data science, machine learning, and data sourcing methodologies.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in Competitive Intelligence, Market Intelligence, and Market Analysis- Mandatory.
• Expertise across several industry sectors- A must.
• Advantage to market intelligence experience across Financial Services, IT sector or Healthcare and life science sector.
• Proven track record of developing new client relationships and generating business development opportunities.
• Existing client base and desire to merge the activity with BDO- an advantage.
• Strong analytics skills including experience working with and manipulating large amounts of data and data visualization in compelling Microsoft PowerPoint presentations.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
• International working experience in competitive intelligence- Mandatory.
• Knowledge of foreign languages- an advantage.
• Drive, motivation, go-getter attitude, particularly the ability to expand client base.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Managerial and team development skills. Currently managing a team of market intelligence specialists- an advantage.
• Competence with AI based market analysis and business intelligence tools, Qlik, Tableau, and/or Power BI- an advantage.
• Ability to work with and engage across management team and various functions within the organization.
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, energetic environment and in ambiguous/rapidly evolving situations.

Education: 

Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Information science or a related field (Master's preferred).
