Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

PassportCard is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO). The CTO will be responsible for defining and executing the organization’s technology strategy to align with business objectives. This role will champion the adoption of innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and achieve competitive advantages.

As the technological leader overseeing R&D, Data, AI, Cloud, and IT/DevOps infrastructure teams and decisions, the CTO will ensure the organization remains agile and well-positioned in a dynamic technology landscape. The CTO will also serve as a key member of the PassportCard's innovation group, driving forward technological initiatives that support the company's strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and implement a technology strategy that aligns with business objectives.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to define and prioritize the technology roadmap and budgets.

Innovation & Transformation:

• Lead organization-wide transformation initiatives, ensuring the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.
• Drive innovation to enhance product offerings, customer experiences, and operational processes.

Technical Excellence:

• Oversee R&D, cloud environments, and IT/DevOps infrastructure to ensure scalability, security, and high availability.
• Serve as the organization’s Design Authority, managing technical decision-making processes.
• Implement and optimize Agile methodologies and other best practices across delivery processes.

Team Development & Culture:

• Build and mentor high-performing technology teams, fostering professional development.
• Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability across all levels of the organization.

Partnerships & Stakeholder Management:

• Manage relationships with key technology vendors, ensuring contract optimization and service quality

Requirements:

Leadership & Strategy:

• Mastery in technology management, enterprise architecture, and SDLC/Agile disciplines.
• Proven ability to drive change and process improvements in large organizations.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, adaptable to diverse audiences (including C level)

Technical Expertise:

• Deep knowledge of IT architecture, strategy, and application architecture.
• Expertise in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern development tools.
• Proficiency in AI, automation, cybersecurity, and infrastructure-as-code practices.

Experience

• 15+ years as a development leader.
• 10-15 years as an enterprise/senior solution architect or similar leadership role.
• 10+ years of consultancy roles involving collaboration with VP/Director-level stakeholders (Technology Strategy, IT Operations, R&D).

Certifications:

• BA/BSc or MBA in a relevant field.
• TOGAF or equivalent Enterprise Architecture certification.
• Cloud Architect certification (AWS , Azure, or GCP).
