Data Engineer

MetaSight is a young startup-company developing disease diagnostics via multi-OMICS analysis of blood samples. Applying our proprietary mass-spectrometry technology on samples from >500,000 people, we have generated the world’s largest metabolomics database. Integrating our measurements with clinical information from Electronic Health Records, we are developing diagnostics for diverse disease, including cancer and liver diseases etc.

Job Description:

• Develop and maintain internal computational infrastructure supporting data science work, including an internal biobank management system, platform for analysis of a large database of electronic healthcare records, and a pipeline for analyzing OMICS datasets.
• Design, develop and implement interfaces and APIs for accessing molecular and clinical data for collaborating data scientists, chemists, and clinicians.
• Participate in data science work aimed to develop novel molecular diagnostic signatures by utilizing machine learning.

Qualifications:

• B.Sc or higher degree in a Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in computational or algorithmic R&D, preferably within a startup environment.
• Experience in analyzing clinical and/or molecular data.
• Proficiency in Python and C++.
• Knowledge and understanding of Statistics – an advantage
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly organized, with exceptional attention to detail.
