Senior Backend Engineer

A leading technology company in Tel Aviv is seeking a seasoned and proactive Senior Backend Engineer to join its dynamic R&D team. This role is ideal for an engineer with a strong technical background in large, complex systems who thrives on challenges and is driven to make a significant impact by delivering high-quality code using modern frameworks and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of both new and existing features, from concept to production-ready code.
• Collaborate closely with product teams to develop core capabilities aligned with company strategy.
• Work with full-stack and infrastructure teams to create seamless client workflow solutions.
• Lead and mentor junior developers, contributing to the team’s growth and expanding its technological capabilities.
  
  

• At least 5 years of proven experience as a backend engineer using a modern programming language.
• Expertise in developing large, scalable, distributed systems using a microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in writing high-performance, reentrant, and efficient code.
• Experience with modern source control management systems and CI tools.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science from a leading university, or equivalent experience from technological intelligence units.
  
  

• Proficiency in Java (Spring framework).
• Experience with tools such as Kafka, Cassandra, Redis, or Elasticsearch.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript.
• General understanding of financial markets or financial services.
