Commercial Lawyer

A leading construction company specializing in complex and challenging infrastructure projects is seeking a commercial lawyer to join its legal department. This role involves providing ongoing legal support for large-scale infrastructure projects.

Job Description: The position includes managing the legal aspects of infrastructure projects, including drafting documents, letters, and claims, preparing lawsuits, and managing various agreements with an emphasis on contracts with contractors and suppliers. The role also involves independent negotiations with contractors and suppliers, preparing legal opinions, and assisting with identifying and managing project risks.

This dynamic and challenging role requires extensive interaction with project management teams and close collaboration with the company's legal department.

Requirements:

3-7 years of experience as a licensed lawyer – required

Previous experience in the construction industry or in a law firm specializing in infrastructure projects – significant advantage

Experience in commercial litigation, contract law, procurement law – advantageous

Familiarity with Design-Build contracts – advantageous

Engineering/technical background – advantageous

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to lead and drive legal processes in large projects
