SW Applications Engineer

We are seeking a talented SW Applications Engineer to join our Engineering Operations team. In this role, you will be pivotal in bridging the gap between Research and Development (R&D) and Production, ensuring a smooth transition of engineering change orders (ECOs), and providing ongoing support to the manufacturing process.

A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact:

• ECO Management and Manufacturing Support
• Thoroughly review ECOs from R&D, assessing their impact on software components and identifying potential risks.
• Modify and update software components as required to accommodate ECO changes, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
• Conduct rigorous testing to verify the correctness and reliability of software changes, minimizing the risk of defects.
• Update software documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals, to reflect ECO changes.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing teams, addressing software-related issues and troubleshooting problems.
• Investigate and resolve software-related defects and failures identified during manufacturing, minimizing production downtime.

Requirements:

• BSC in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical or any relevant field)
• 2+ years of experience working on multidisciplinary systems (SW and HW)
• Experience working with Linux
• Solid understanding of hardware-software integration and debugging techniques.
• Working experience with sub-contractors, vendors, production, and SW teams
• Experience working with cloud-based products - an advantage
• Knowledge of the following platforms: Jira, Confluence, AWS, and GitHub - an advantage
• English - Fluent Must
• Ability to work from time to time during the US time zone from time to time
