About The ESG PMO Team

We are scaling up our efforts and establishing a Nordic ESG PMO team to drive our ESG strategy implementation. You will be part of an informal, collaborative team that thrives on making a meaningful difference, one task at a time. We recognize that ESG is a complex and evolving field, but here at Matas Group you’ll find like-minded colleagues across the organization who are eager to collaborate on operationalizing our ESG strategy.

As Part Of Our ESG PMO Team, You Will

Support our business functions and subsidiaries in delivering on ESG targets.

Collaborate with our ESG Controller in Group Finance to work with our ESG data, enabling informed decision-making and prioritization.

Contribute to our ESG reporting while also identifying and shaping future ESG priorities.

About The ESG Specialist Role

As an ESG Specialist, your job will be to work closely with colleagues across the organization to integrate sustainability principles into everyday business practices. Your work will also include research, project management, and administrative tasks to support the organization’s transition. You’ll report to our Nordic ESG Manager.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

A bachelor’s degree or higher, along with relevant courses, training, or certifications in sustainability (e.g., carbon accounting, CSRD, due diligence, resource circularity or SBTi).

Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to guide decision-making.

Proven experience in managing complex projects, ideally related to sustainability, with a strong attention to detail.

The ability to guide teams and manage stakeholder interactions across diverse business functions.

A solid understanding of current sustainability regulations and trends, and a keen interest in staying ahead of future developments.

Full proficiency in English, oral/written.

Our locations

Our main office is in Allerød, Denmark, with the possibility to work at our workspace at the Matas HUB in the center of Copenhagen. You will also collaborate closely with our ESG PMO colleagues in Stockholm, Sweden, so a maximum at 5 travel days a year will be expected.
