IT and DevOps Specialist

ISOC-IL is looking for IT and Devops specialist, who will be a part of our highly experienced technological team, operating in a complex and critical computing environment, with significant information security aspects.

ISOC-IL manage and operate Israel’s Top-Level Domains (.IL and ישראל.) and the Israel Internet Exchange (IIX), designated as an “Essential Computer System” under Israel’s critical information systems regulations.

We are committed to the continuous, secure, and open operation of Israel’s internet. As experts in DNS and BGP, we maintain and protect our critical infrastructure using cutting-edge technologies and facilities to ensure robust internet connectivity and security.

Responsibilities

• Design, Install, configure, and maintain systems in Linux Environment.
• Deploy, configure, troubleshoot virtualization, docker and storage systems.
• Configure and maintain system monitoring for performance, availability, and security.
• Write and troubleshoot shell and python scripts.
• Write and troubleshoot yaml for ansible playbooks, docker compose etc.

Qualifications

• 3 years of hands-on experience as a system administrator.
• Good knowledge of Linux systems.
• Proven experience in scripting languages such as Bash/Python/Perl.
• Experience in networks and information security.
• Experience with virtual environment management (Vmware/HyperV/KVM).
• Experience with micro services (docker/podman/k8s).
• Experience managing storage systems (NetApp, EMC, etc.) – an advantage.
• Experience or familiarity with Infrastructure as code (Ansible/Terraform) – an advantage.
• Experience in managing DNS servers – an advantage.
• Experience in managing monitoring systems: Zabbix/Nagios/Prometheus – an advantage.
• Courses in system, networking, information security, and DevOps – a significant advantage.
• An academic degree in computer science, computer engineering, industrial engineering, and
• management engineering is an advantage.
