We, the cyber security group in Cognyte, are building a new and exciting next-gen platform for Threat Hunting and Cyber Investigation. We use cutting-edge technologies to collect and combine unique data from various sources to allow the development of cyber oriented advanced analytics and swift investigation of advanced cyber-attacks.

We're looking for an experienced Big Data Team Leader to join our R&D group.

As a Big Data Team Leader in Cognyte you will:

• Lead and mentor a team of talented software engineers
• Lead the design and implementation of our product using the latest Big Data and Backend technologies
• Develop high-scale applications that analyse massive amounts of data, turning them into valuable insights
• Working shoulder to shoulder with our data science team to develop cyber oriented advanced analytics
• Collaborate with other development teams, architecture, product and delivery managers to create high quality deliverables
• Take an active role in our agile processes, design reviews, brainstorming and knowledge-sharing sessions

For that mission you’ll need:

• 2+ managerial experience as a Team Leader
• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer including design & development
• Experience in building and deploying large scale data processing systems – Must
• Experience with Big Data technologies such as: Hadoop, Spark - Must
• Knowledge with technologies such as: Flink, NIFI, Kafka, OpenSearch and similar – Big Advantage
• Excellent understanding of performance, profiling and optimizations
• Experience working with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Helm, Jenkins
• Passionate about problem solving with excellent communication and team-work skills.
