PHY System Engineer

Autotalks is looking for an experienced Phy System Engineer to join our Phy System team. You will play a key role in creating an Automotive product that is deployed in millions of vehicles. You will join our R&D division, working in a hybrid model: from our office in Kfar Netter, from home, or from our remote offices in Rehovot and Caesarea.

About the role

Phy System Engineer is responsible for phy system bring up and integration of Autotalks next generation communication SoC, working on cutting edge communication standards. The position includes deep diving into complex wireless communication features, analysing system impact and the required tests, working closely with other development teams.

Responsibilities:

-Practicing multidisciplinary systems (SW, FW, HW, RF)

-RF performance and Radio system features bring up, integration testing and debugging

-Definition of detailed test-plans to cover phy system functional and Radio performance requirements

-Conducting in-depth system tests and results analysis

-Investigating integration and system failures, and performing root-cause analysis

RequirementsPublic: Show on job boards

-At least 5 years of experience in wireless systems integration

-Knowledge in wireless communication systems

-Familiarity with MAC, PHY and RF subsystems

-Experience in requirements analysis and test plans definition

-Familiarity with different RF test equipment such as VSA, VSG, Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers etc.

-BSc Electrical Engineering

-Experience with test case automation and Python scripting

Advantage:

-Familiarity with one of the following technologies: 5G-NR, LTE, Wi-Fi, BT

-Experience with RF equipment test automation – big advantage

-Experience with Matlab

-Ability to read PCB schematics
