Back End Developer

One of our clients, an innovative digital health company, is looking to hire a Senior Backend Engineer. This forward-thinking organization is at the forefront of leveraging GenAI and LLMs to enhance healthcare delivery, focusing on improving care team efficiency and patient outcomes. Their platform supports real-time interventions and personalized care, backed by rigorous clinical trials and actuarial research.

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and scaling cloud-native applications. You will take ownership of features from inception to deployment, ensuring the scalability and reliability of systems handling large data sets. If you're a seasoned backend developer passionate about making a meaningful impact in digital health, this opportunity could be a perfect fit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, develop and maintain backend systems for a cloud-based digital health platform.
• Implement and manage microservices using tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Work with AWS services, including Lambda, EKS, SQS, IAM, and VPC, to create robust and secure infrastructure.
• Build CI/CD pipelines to streamline development, testing, and deployment.
• Ensure code quality through testing methodologies and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, translating technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
• Take initiative and problem-solve in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of backend development experience with expertise in Node.js, Python, or Go.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
• Proficiency in building and maintaining microservices architectures.
• Expertise in object-oriented design, algorithms, data structures, and multithreading.
• Demonstrated experience in code quality, testing, and continuous improvement.
• Proven ability to thrive in a startup setting.
• Bonus: Experience with LLMs, test-driven development (TDD), and healthcare technology.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• A tech lead-level engineer with strong backend experience.
• Background in SaaS/cloud products.
• Exceptional academic or professional achievements (e.g., top-tier university, elite military unit, or experience in a renowned company).
• Stability in previous roles (minimum 2 years per position).
