BeaMed is on a journey to reshape laser guided surgery including tumor ablation and epilepsy treatments. BeaMed is developing a unique system that combines progressive energy source with advanced mechanical navigation system of light-based multidisciplinary surgical tools, catheter and systems that will take today’s today’s minimally invasive treatment options to a whole new level.

The StingRay System combines new fiber optic technology with an advanced laser console and computerized intelligent control that allows an excellent match between the volume of tumors or the epileptic focal points, and the energy delivered. The accurate matching makes sure we protect vital functional areas against thermal damage. The console integrates advanced imaging modalities, and guides the physician, making sure the treatment is adjusted to the specific patient needs with real time energy control.

Primary Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):

•      Mechanical design and development of medical devices & accessories.

•      Design & Development of test fixtures

•      Produce detailed drawings of parts and assemblies.

•      Documentation of specifications, requirements, tolerance stack calculations, and test protocols according to company standards.

•      Work with manufacturing subcontractors for the production, acceptance tests, and integration of prototypes and final products.

•      Leading DFMEA

•      Take part in hardware-mechanical integration.

Knowledge, Skills & Requirements:

•      B.S / M.S in Mechanical Engineering

•      +2 years of experience in multidisciplinary design– in the medical field an advantage

•      Strong knowledge in manufacturing processes (including Machining, Injection molding, 3D printing)

•      Proficient in SolidWorks

•      Full understanding of Product Development Process guidelines & regulations, and Design Controls, according to ISO13485.
