Infrastructure department manager

We are recruiting for a leading financial organization an experienced Manager of the Central Infrastructure Department.

The department is responsible for managing the organization's core infrastructure – the MAINFRAME and Data Platforms. The department is accountable for the development, accessibility, and management of technological tools and capabilities to meet the various business needs of the organization, while ensuring system stability and availability. The department is in charge of all Data Platform solutions within the organization, focusing on the management of different types of databases, Middleware infrastructure for data handling, and central storage and backup.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience as a department manager or deputy department manager with experience in development management and proven managerial experience in several cross-functional roles.
• High capability and proven experience in managing, developing, and maintaining critical systems in open environments and MF systems with complex and multi-interface environments in the financial business sector.
• Experience in leading large, high-budget development and infrastructure projects and managing procurement.
• A collaborative leadership approach emphasizing empowerment, openness, growth, continuous improvement, and entrepreneurial thinking.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing MF infrastructure in a financial institution – Must
• Ability to manage a work environment with multiple interfaces of critical systems and the capability to advance the department and collaborations within and outside the organization.
• Ability to provide technological solutions, working methods, and innovative tools to meet challenging TTM (Time to Market) requirements, with a broad architectural technological vision.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a work environment and corporate culture that fosters development, empowerment, entrepreneurial and innovative thinking.
• A significant and value-adding partner in the division’s management and in leading the strategic direction of the department.
