Research And Development Manager

A startup company in the InsurTech field has assembled a team of experts in insurance, pension savings, finance, technology, and customer service to offer a more personal, digital, and cost-effective insurance experience. By tailoring insurance terms to individuals' life stages and status, and leveraging advanced technology to scan insurance offers, the company actively delivers updated coverage and competitive prices.

Located in central Israel, the company employs 65 people and operates a hybrid work model with one day per week from home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the R&D team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure project success.
• Develop and execute the R&D roadmap in alignment with business goals.
• Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales and product to bring projects to market.
• Manage the R&D resources, and timelines effectively.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards throughout the R&D process.
• Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
• Collaborate with offshore teams to efficiently and effectively achieve R&D objectives

Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience as a Team Lead, with proven capabilities in managing and mentoring development teams, or
• Extensive experience as a Senior Developer with readiness to take the next step into a leadership role.
• 5 years of experience in R&D management, preferably in development for the web.
• Strong technical background with experience in product design and development.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
• Excellent project management skills, with experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think strategically while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge in NodeJS/React/AWS is an advantage.
