Application Support Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with customers, sales, and service representatives across EMEAI, with a specific focus on Israel, to provide post-sales customer support by addressing technical inquiries of varying complexity.
• Independently manage daily operations and workload priorities.
• Share technical expertise within the EMEAI team and contribute in-depth technical articles to the customer knowledge base.
• Work closely with product, software, and solution centers, serving as the technical interface between customers and the Worldwide Support team.
• Take a proactive approach to customer interactions, resolving current issues and anticipating future needs.
• Become a knowledge expert in Component Test and Wireless solutions for relevant products and solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
• Typically, 4–5 years of relevant experience in areas such as Vector Network Analysis, Impedance Analysis, and DC Device Parameter Analysis.
• Proficient in calibration techniques like SOLT, TRL, and De-embedding for coaxial, waveguide, and on-wafer systems.
• Experienced in testing both passive and active components, including filters, high-power amplifiers, and mixers, using VNAs.
• Strong understanding of advanced VNA measurements beyond S-parameters, such as gain compression, IMD, and Noise Figure.
• Familiarity with various modulation techniques and wireless technologies.
• Solid understanding of advanced Signal Analyzer measurements, including Phase Noise, EVM, EMI, Noise Figure, and Noise Floor.
• Strong grasp of RF/microwave fundamentals and practical experience with RF/microwave test equipment.
• Proficiency in generating, demodulating, and analyzing digital communication signals.
• In-depth technical knowledge and the ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills:

• Advanced programming skills with SCPI and instrument drivers, and proficiency in languages such as C++, C#, VEE, LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB®, or VB.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively under pressure.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential, with additional language skills being an advantage.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to understand the local market and customer dynamics and foster positive customer interactions.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
