linux network specialist (embedded )

Position: Linux Network Manager – Leading Hi-Tech Company in Herzliya

We are seeking a skilled Linux Network Manager to join our team. This role involves managing all networking functionalities in an embedded Linux environment. You will be responsible for supporting various network interfaces, configurations, and advanced features, as well as ensuring network management for the platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Integrate and manage the Linux Network Manager service on the build system.
• Develop and maintain a C++ service that wraps the NetworkManager binary, adding IPC capabilities and configuration logic.
• Manage network interfaces: Wi-Fi, Cellular, Ethernet, DNS, and Firewall.
• Implement failover mechanisms and recovery strategies for network interfaces.
• Provide monitoring, diagnostics, and traffic management across interfaces.
• Handle configuration persistency across reboots and interface-specific profiles.
• Integrate service functionalities via MQTT for system communication.

Required Skills:

• Experience with Wi-Fi, Cellular, Ethernet, and VPNs.
• Strong knowledge of IP management (IPv4/IPv6), DHCP, and routing.
• Ability to manage firewall rules and iptables configurations.
• Proficient in MQTT for system integration and management.
• Knowledge of failover systems, modem management, and network diagnostics.
