We are looking for a talented VP R&D to lead our Marketplace and BizOps domains.

The Marketplace domain manages our SaaS platform, handling user interactions and organizing both internal fleets and third-party mobility providers—such as ride-hailers and executive service providers—while overseeing the entire matching and ride management process.

The BizOps domain oversees key operational processes, including Billing, Payments, and Customer Care. For Billing, it ensures accuracy for clients and vendors while seamlessly integrating with Gett’s finance operations through back-office tools and automation. In Payments, BizOps focuses on seamless credit card processing and robust fraud prevention. Additionally, it manages the development of an in-house solution that enhances Customer Care operations, maximizing team performance and operational efficiency.

The role:

• Reporting to our CTO, you will lead a multinational R&D organization of ~50 engineers, managing managers and empowering teams across Backend, Frontend, QA, Automation, and Architecture.
• E2E responsibility in building superb global Marketplace and BizOps applications and systems in high quality on time and budget
• Drive overall architecture & technology stack and compliance with the highest engineering standards
• Strengthen the leadership team - hire, onboard and coach strong leaders
• Lead, develop and improve overall engagement of a top-performing cross-functional teams of Backend, Frontend, Architects, QA, Automation engineers and more.
• A significant part of the R&D leadership, driving Gett’s tech engineering excellence

Requirements:

• Inspiring people leader with a track record of developing high-performing teams of >30 people
• Demonstrated ability to grow and coach managers
• Strong Leadership skills – ability to inspire, motivate, train and manage the team to meet high goals. And especially, under the challenge of working remotely
• 10-15+ years of technical experience, including 5+ years managing high-scale production systems, with a successful track record with tech stack relevant to Gett - AWS, K8S, Golang, Ruby, React
• Extensive experience leading design and architecture-related activities
• International customer and SaaS experience - an advantage
• Strong understanding of the commercial impact of technology on business outcomes
• Ability to work successfully in a dynamic, ambiguous environment
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads
• Ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions
• Combination of start-up and large enterprise experience - an advantage
