Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and hands-on Data Engineering Team Leader to join our TLV site and contribute to the development of our revolutionary Compliance-as-a-Service platform. As a key member of our R&D department, you will be responsible for building and enhancing our cloud-based platform, which automates IT auditing for SaaS companies globally. You’ll lead a team of data engineers, shaping the architecture, implementing new features, and ensuring the platform’s scalability and reliability.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL pipelines using Airflow, Spark, and Snowflake.
• Contribute to early decision-making, architecture, design, and technological research.
• Implement integrations with third-party providers and internal services.
• Design and develop the new cloud-based platform using cutting-edge technologies such as AWS, Spark, Airflow, Snowflake, and microservices.
• Implement best practices for data integration, transformation, and storage.
• Optimize and tune data workflows for performance and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers, providing L3 support when necessary.
• Ensure data quality and data governance practices are implemented and maintained.

What You Bring

• Experience: 5+ years in data engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• ETL/ELT Expertise: Proven experience in developing data pipelines and processes using Python, Spark, and Airflow.
• Database Knowledge: Strong skills in relational databases (Snowflake is a plus).
• Big Data Technologies: Familiarity with big data technologies and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Event Processing: Experience with Apache Kafka or similar event processing/queue architectures is an advantage.
• Leadership: Proven ability to mentor and lead data engineering teams.
• Communication: Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities with a self-driven, motivated approach to problem-solving.
• Collaboration: Self-motivated and able to work independently, yet collaborative with cross-functional teams.

Bonus Points for:

• Experience developing and managing cloud-based, scalable data solutions.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools for data integration, transformation, and storage.
• Academic excellence in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
