SignalPET is seeking an exceptional NLP Technical Lead to spearhead our natural language processing initiatives. The ideal candidate will drive innovation in veterinary medicine through advanced NLP solutions, with a particular focus on large language models (LLMs). As a NLP tech-lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our NLP initiatives and driving innovation in our products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of brand new and advanced NLP based solutions to provide first of its kind solutions for a medical field, with a specific focus on large language models (LLMs).
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of brand new and advanced NLP based solutions to provide Architect and optimize NLP pipelines, ensuring efficient processing and handling of large volumes of textual data.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in LLMs and NLP, applying relevant techniques to enhance our products and keep us at the forefront of the field.
• Mentor and guide junior NLP engineers in NLP-related projects, providing technical leadership, knowledge sharing, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Conduct thorough research on LLMs and their applications (and not just prompt engineering)
• Identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement in our products.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring high code quality, scalability, and maintainability of ML-related components.
• Investigate and resolve complex issues related to ML algorithms, models, and infrastructure, contributing to the overall stability and reliability of our products.

Requirements:

• At least 4 years’ experience as an NLP engineer.
• B.Sc, M.Sc. or Phd in Engineering, computer science or related field.
• Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems.
• Proven experience working with large language models (LLMs) - big advantageStrong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience in leading diverse AI teams - advantage

Preferred Qualifications:

• Direct experience with LLM development and deployment
• Experience in healthcare or medical AI applications
