Modern Work and Security Specialist

As a Modern Work and Security Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing solutions across Microsoft’s Modern Work, Defender Suite, and Purview compliance tools to ensure seamless collaboration, robust security, and regulatory compliance for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Microsoft 365 Modern Work Solutions

• Deploy, configure, and manage Microsoft 365 Business Premium services, including Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
• Lead device management and compliance efforts using Microsoft Intune.
• Implement Conditional Access policies and ensure secure identity and access management with Microsoft Entra (Azure AD).

Microsoft Defender

• Deploy, configure, and manage Microsoft Defender for Endpoint to detect, investigate, and respond to endpoint threats.
• Implement Microsoft Defender for Office 365 to protect against phishing, malware, and other advanced threats in email and collaboration tools.
• Leverage Microsoft Defender for Identity to detect suspicious activities in hybrid environments.
• Utilize Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps to protect and govern SaaS applications, ensuring compliance and secure collaboration.

Microsoft Purview Compliance Solutions

• Deploy and manage Microsoft Purview tools to help organizations meet regulatory compliance requirements and protect sensitive data.
• Implement Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies across email, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive to prevent unauthorized sharing of sensitive information.
• Configure Insider Risk Management to identify and mitigate potential data breaches or misuse by employees.
• Use Microsoft Purview Information Protection to classify, label, and encrypt sensitive data.
• Conduct eDiscovery and audit logging to support legal and compliance investigations.

Security and Governance

• Establish and enforce compliance policies and security baselines using Microsoft Intune.
• Implement and manage Local Administrator Password Solution (LAPS) to enhance endpoint security.
• Collaborate with customers to design Zero Trust security architectures tailored to their needs.

Customer Engagement and Training

• Act as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their requirements and providing tailored solutions.
• Train customers and internal staff on best practices for Microsoft security, compliance, and modern work solutions.
• Conduct regular reviews of deployed solutions to optimize performance and ensure alignment with evolving needs.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and develop innovative solutions.
• Contribute to the team’s growth by sharing knowledge and mentoring junior team members.

Technical Skills

Core Expertise

• Deep understanding of Microsoft 365, Intune, and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
• Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Defender suite, including Defender for Endpoint, Office 365, Identity and Cloud Apps.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Purview tools for compliance and data protection, including DLP and Insider Risk Management.
• Hands-on experience with Conditional Access, Azure AD, and implementing Zero Trust models.

Security and Compliance Specialization

• Experience with threat detection, response, and security posture management using Microsoft tools.
• Expertise in data classification, labelling, and encryption using Microsoft Purview Information Protection.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with migrating mailboxes and workloads from on-premises Exchange to Exchange Online, including hybrid deployment setups.
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel for Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).
• Knowledge of hybrid identity setups, such as Azure AD Connect and ADFS.
