Senior Technical Writer

We’re looking for a Senior Technical Writer who will join the Flytrex Regulation team, leading major compliance efforts, enabling Flytrex to certify advanced UAS platforms and execute groundbreaking projects. You’ll be a part of a fast-growing company with an awesome multidisciplinary team and a vibrant working environment in the center of Tel Aviv.

In this role, you will be responsible for producing comprehensive documentation that meets the stringent requirements set forth by the FAA and other civil aviation authorities. You will collaborate closely with engineers, designers, product managers, operations and manufacturing teams, to gather technical and operational information and translate it into clear and concise documentation. This includes writing technical manuals, standard operating procedures, maintenance procedures, safety protocols, training programs, and other relevant documentation outlining the specifications for drone operation, production, and maintenance. Your attention to detail, strong writing skills, and understanding of the certification process contribute to the successful compliance with the regulations, thereby ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our drones in the national airspace.

Primary Responsibilities

• Review and process complex regulatory requirements.
• Work with aviation regulatory authorities to achieve approvals and authorizations for the company’s activities.
• Create, edit and manage manuals and technical documents.
• Revise technical manuals and documents from engineering, product, manufacturing and procurement teams.
• Study the design, performance and functionality of hardware and software systems and components.
• Research technical information to develop technical documentation.
• Establish policies and procedures required for manufacturing, procurement and quality assurance processes.
  
  

• Minimum 3 years experience in technical writing (English).
• Minimum 3 years experience with either technology, regulatory, or aviation documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree, engineering or legal disciplines - a plus.
• Work experience in the aerospace industry - strong plus.
• Familiarity with the Federal Aviation Regulations - strong plus.
• Experience in regulatory compliance processes - strong plus.
  
  

• Native English speaker, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with technical writing tools and/or document management systems - a plus.
• Ability to review and process information quickly.
• Ability to write in a concise, organized and coherent manner.
• Self-starter and able to make sound decisions with minimum assistance from supervision.
