Senior Backend Developer

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead the end-to-end development of backend features, from product requirements to live production tests.
• Design, architect, and build scalable backend systems for advanced products and services.
• Develop high-quality software in a dynamic startup environment.
• Solve complex challenges with creative, efficient solutions, ensuring quick delivery of results.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues proactively.
• Collaborate with the data science team to integrate and manage ML pipelines, including work with generative AI and large language models (LLMs).
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

You'd Be a Good Fit If You Have:

• 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on backend systems.
• Expertise in Python and Django, with a track record of delivering backend solutions rapidly.
• Experience with microservices architecture and cloud-based product development.
• Strong knowledge of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, DynamoDB, and OpenSearch.
• Proficiency with message queues like Kafka and SQS.
• Experience in scalable data structures, parallelism, and ensuring high availability.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and AWS-based container environments.
• Experience in agile development and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• A passion for technology and delivering exceptional code.

Bonus Points For:

• Hands-on experience with frontend frameworks (Vue.js / Angular).
• Experience working with data pipelines and both relational and column-oriented databases.
• Familiarity with TDD and security best practices.
• Experience with DevOps tools including Docker, Helm, and GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of ML-Ops and experience working with machine learning or generative AI technologies.
