DevOps Engineer

Cyberbit Range is a Cloud-Based Simulation enables cybersecurity teams to experience real-life cyber-attacks before they encounter them. Our cloud-based Cyber Range allows instant access to real-world networks and security tools for enabling SOC teams and students to battle real-world malwares and cyber-attacks to get prepared for the inevitable attack.

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our infrastructure across multiple cloud environments, with a particular focus on AWS, ECS, EKS, and VMware. You will also work closely with development and operations teams to streamline processes, automate workflows, and ensure the continuous integration and delivery of high-quality applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable infrastructure across multiple cloud platforms (especially AWS), including ECS and EKS & On prem (specifically VMware).
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) and configuration management using automation tools.
• Implement, configure, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for automated builds, testing, and deployments.
• Write clean, efficient code in Python, PowerShell, Bash, and Ansible for automation, configuration management, and orchestration tasks.
• Ensure security, availability, and scalability of cloud environments, adhering to best practices and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, resolve, and document issues in development, test, and production environments.
• Monitor system performance and implement necessary improvements to meet SLAs and other performance metrics.
• Ensure backup, disaster recovery, and failover strategies are in place and tested regularly.
• Administer and optimize environments for performance and cost efficiency.
  
  

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a DevOps or related engineering role.
• Strong experience working with AWS or other cloud providers.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, and Ansible.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, particularly Jenkins.
• Solid understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and practices (terraform).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Hands-on experience with VMware administration and optimization.
