DevOps Engineer

Laguna Health is looking for a DevOps Engineer to help us build and scale our cloud infrastructure that powers our innovative digital health solutions. You’ll design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud environments using AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and related tools. As part of a collaborative team, you’ll ensure that our infrastructure and application layers work seamlessly together to support our cutting-edge solutions in digital health.

In this role, you will work closely with developers to streamline our CI/CD pipelines, improve system observability, and enhance the performance of our MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases. You’ll also be responsible for driving key infrastructure initiatives, from managing production environments to implementing advanced monitoring, logging, and alerting practices. Your contributions will help us build resilient and scalable systems that support AI-driven communications and enhance care teams' efficiency.

Who you are:

• 5+ years as a DevOps engineer , with hands-on expertise in cloud-native technologies.
• Proven ability to manage and scale Kubernetes clusters in production.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, EKS, Lambda, SQS, IAM, and VPC.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Helm Charts, and related tooling.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
• Familiarity with Prometheus, DataDog, and ELK stack for observability.
• Comfortable supporting live production environments and resolving incidents promptly.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, partially remote startup environment.
• Ability to handle open-ended challenges, prioritize needs, and deliver innovative solutions.

Bonus points for:

• Experience with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).
• Understanding of LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Llama).
• Strong grasp of testing methodologies (unit testing, TDD, mocking).
• Familiarity with JavaScript and Node.js is a strong plus.
