Lab for Developing Radiation and Particle Detectors at Tel Aviv University (School of Physics) Electronics Engineer Required for a Challenging and Long-Term Full-Time Position.

Job Title: Research Laboratory Manager

Job Description:

• Engineering development of detectors for experiments in particle accelerators worldwide.
• Design and testing of prototypes in the lab both in Israel and abroad.
• Development of circuits for signal readout and data collection.
• Assembly of measurement systems and conducting experiments at particle accelerators.
• Integration of fast digital electronics with computers.
• Working with subcontractors and suppliers, identifying components, and analyzing technical specifications.
• The role also involves maintenance of lab equipment, computers, and administrative tasks.
• Training and working in a research environment alongside faculty members and graduate students from Israel and abroad.

Requirements:

• Graduate in Electronics Engineering (or technician with proven experience).
• Experience working with PCBs.
• Knowledge of programming languages – significant advantage.
• Background as an engineer/technician from military service – an advantage.
• Willingness to travel abroad for extended periods.
• Proficiency in technical English is a must.
