Senior DevOps Engineer

The Senior DevOps Engineer will be a pivotal figure in our organization, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our DevOps infrastructure. This role involves close collaboration with our development and algorithm teams to ensure streamlined deployment processes, scalable infrastructure, and a secure, reliable environment.

Key Responsibilities

• CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and other automation tools.
• Kubernetes Administration: Administer and optimize Kubernetes (K8s) clusters using Helm charts and operators for efficient service deployment and maintenance.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Lead IaC initiatives using Terraform, focusing on scalable and reliable infrastructure, particularly for our Algorithms team.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Manage and support deployments on both GCP and Azure, ensuring high availability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
• Security and VPN: Oversee network security and VPN access management using OpenVPN and Cloudflare, maintaining secure connectivity across the organization.
• Database Management: Configure and maintain databases, including SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) using MongoDB Atlas. Optimize database performance and reliability.
• Monitoring and Observability: Implement monitoring solutions using Datadog for robust observability, logging, and alerting across all services and infrastructure.
• Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts in Groovy and Python to streamline DevOps tasks and optimize resource usage.
• Collaboration and Support: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate DevOps processes effectively, scaling infrastructure to meet growing demands.
• Security Best Practices: Monitor, identify, and resolve potential vulnerabilities, implementing security best practices across all environments.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years in DevOps with strong expertise in Jenkins, GitHub, Kubernetes, OpenVPN, ArgoCD, Terraform, GCP, Azure, and Cloudflare.
• CI/CD Expertise: Proven track record of creating, maintaining, and scaling CI/CD pipelines.
• Cloud Infrastructure: In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP and Azure) and containerization best practices.
• Scripting Skills: Proficiency in Groovy and Python for scripting and automation.
• Monitoring Solutions: Experience in designing and implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for infrastructure reliability.
• Team Collaboration: Excellent communication skills with a history of successful collaboration in a cross-functional team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Project Experience: Demonstrated success in leading scalable CI/CD projects, managing Kubernetes clusters, or heading DevOps infrastructure projects.
