Head of BI & Analytics

yad2, Israel's leading online marketplace, is seeking a visionary and data-driven Head of BI & Analytics to lead our business intelligence and analytics strategy. In this pivotal role, you will shape the future of data utilization at yad2 by driving advanced analytics, uncovering actionable insights, and empowering teams with data-driven decision-making. Your work will directly impact key business decisions, optimize operational performance, and enhance user experiences across our platform. As a senior leader, you will guide a talented BI team, collaborate across departments, and leverage cutting-edge analytical tools to deliver meaningful business outcomes.

• Develop and execute a comprehensive BI & Analytics strategy that aligns with yad2’s business goals and growth objectives
• Foster a data-driven culture by promoting the use of analytics for decision-making across all levels of the organization
• Lead deep-dive analyses on customer behavior, platform performance, and market trends to identify growth opportunities and enhance user experience
• Define and monitor KPIs to track the success of marketing campaigns, product performance, and operational effectiveness
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing BI and analytics team, ensuring their professional development and alignment with business needs
• Prioritize team projects to deliver timely, high-quality insights that support business units
• Showcase advanced querying skills in SQL to optimize data processes for efficiency and accuracy
• Work closely with marketing, sales, product, and R&D teams to identify and address business needs through data-driven solutions
• Strong capability to understand complex data, extract meaningful insights, and clearly explain findings and their implications to stakeholders at all levels

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science)
• 8+ years of experience in BI & Data Analysis, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Strong background in conducting advanced analyses and deriving insights to improve business performance, particularly in digital or marketplace environments
• Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and advanced querying languages like SQL
• Experience with AWS services, including Athena
• Capabilities in using Google Analytics and other web analytics tools
• Basic understanding of machine learning and predictive modeling
• Proven ability to build, mentor, and inspire high-performing teams
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to diverse stakeholders in a clear, actionable manner
