Senior Android Developer

We are looking for a skilled Senior Android Developer to join our team and spearhead the development of our Android SDK.

Oriient is at the forefront of indoor positioning technology, developing advanced mobile SDKs to enhance location-based services. Our innovative solutions help users navigate indoor spaces effortlessly.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Android Developer and Tech Lead, you’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining Oriient’s Android SDK.

Collaborating with product managers, backend developers, and other engineers, you’ll ensure we deliver high-quality, cutting-edge solutions that meet client needs. This is a hands-on leadership position where you’ll write code, lead technical discussions, and mentor junior developers.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience in Android development.
• Proficiency in Kotlin, with a strong understanding of modern Android development practices.
• Extensive experience using Coroutines and Flow for asynchronous programming.
• Strong knowledge of Android architecture components and design patterns.
• SDK development experience is a plus, but not required.
• Familiarity with NDK for native code integration is a bonus.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose is a plus.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality mobile applications or SDKs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

• Lead the design and evolution of Oriient’s Android SDK.

• Mentor developers and conduct code reviews to foster growth.
• Improve existing codebases, introducing new technologies and optimizations.
• Support NDK integration for performance-critical features.
• Contribute to Jetpack Compose-based UI development as needed.
• Ensure seamless integration with various platforms and services.
