We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Legal & Compliance Country Lead to join our team and oversee our three divisions: Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Health, and Crop Science.

In this crucial role, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior management, driving business strategy and initiatives while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Your efforts will help safeguard our reputation and business interests, enabling our teams to execute their plans with confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the legal and compliance function, providing expert advice and coordination for all activities within the country
• Collaborate closely with leadership teams across Finance, Marketing, HR, Sales, Medical, and Regulatory to deliver strategic advice and compliant solutions
• Drive cross-functional projects that enhance team capabilities and deliver result
• Monitor industry trends, providing insights and recommendations to foster innovation and success
• Manage and continuously improve our legal capabilities, ensuring best-in-class practices
• Prepare for key stakeholder dialogues from a legal and compliance perspective
• Negotiate, review, and draft various legal agreements, ensuring alignment with company goals
• Translate complex legal concepts into clear, accessible language for diverse audiences
• Partner with the Communications team on crisis management and rapid response planning
• Coordinate with national industry associations and legal stakeholder groups
• Maintain functional costs responsibly and flexibly

Work Relations:

• Managing Director & Country Division Head Pharmaceuticals, Country Division Head Consumer Health, Country Division Head Crop Science
• Bayer’s leadership team across functions and divisions: Finance, Marketing, HR, Sales, Medical, and Regulatory
• National industry associations and legal & compliance stakeholder groups
• External service providers such as legal offices, consultants, and advisors
• All internal Bayer employees in Israel
• Legal & Compliance internal communities and relevant global teams
• The function reports to the CFO

Who You Are:

• A practicing certified lawyer with a university degree in law and a proven track record of at least five years in a law firm or in-house legal team. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a significant advantage
• Fluent in Hebrew and English, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• A self-starter with a pragmatic, business-focused mindset and a knack for creative problem-solving
• Possessing strong leadership skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects under deadline pressure
