Role Overview

We’re looking for a well-rounded Data/BI Team Leader who balances hands-on coding skills, technological aptitude, and a strong, self-driven, can-do attitude.

In this role, you will work closely with virtually every department in our company—Product, Engineering, Growth, Business, Operations, Founders, and other leaders on our team—which will position you to make a real impact, from internal analytics to enhancing our users’ relationships. As a B2C data-driven company, you will take the drivers’ seat in elevating our data capabilities.

This position also involves leading and growing our existing Data Analysts and Data Engineering team members, advancing our data analytics processes and practices and owning and growing our tech stack which is mainly composed of Looker, DBT Cloud, Databricks, BigQuery and a few more. This role will be reporting directly to the company CTO.

Your objective will be to empower our growth, business, product, and operations teams with the data they need to make the best decisions.

This is a key role within our technology group that significantly impacts all facets of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• You will lead our skilled data analysts and data engineering members, build, control & prioritize the pipeline of tasks relevant to the team according to the business needs.
• You will guide them, remove roadblocks for them, help clarify ambiguities, foster collaborative working environment and help them improve their business impact.
• You will drive focus and speed within your team to deliver meaningful insights and help implement them in the roadmap.
• You will set the vision of how the whole data realm look like, set the standards, build long term infrastructure roadmap and establish new work processes across the company
• You will work closely with various departments in the company to collaboratively build the product roadmap , prioritize it and take overall ownership on delivery E2E.
• You will get your hands dirty in optimizing looker dashboards, designing and modeling our DWH, writing DBT / Python code if needed and be a gatekeeper for the teams’ quality of work.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• You are a fast learner, jack of all trades, feel comfortable in a fast paced, ever-changing environment. You can break down complex problems into steps and plot clearly how to get from A to Z while having the ability to zoom out and see the bigger picture.
• At least 4-5 years of experience as a BI Developer (ETL, DWH) in 2-3 different terms, with at least 2 years of managerial experience.
• Excellent business understanding with technical data modeling abilities.
• +3 years experience in Python (or similar programming language)
• Ability to write complex SQL queries and optimize them for performance.
• Experienced with data governance, integrity, orchestration and monitoring tools.
• Experience with BI tools such as Looker , PowerBI, Tableau etc.
• Experience with DBT Cloud
• Experience with design and development of complex ETL processes, DWH concepts and techniques (BQ, Snowflake, Redshift etc.)
• Experience with Data Ingestion pipelines (Databricks, Airflow, Fivetran, Segment etc.)
