Co-Founder for Women’s Chess Club Nonprofit

Are you a passionate chess player with an entrepreneurial spirit? Do you believe in leveling the playing field for women in chess and empowering girls and women to grow their skills and confidence? We are looking for a co-founder to join in launching a nonprofit women’s chess club from the ground up—a passion project aimed at advancing women’s presence in the chess world and providing a supportive, inclusive environment for players of all levels.

Qualifications:

This is an incredible opportunity to shape the future of a nonprofit and make a real impact, starting with a weekly after-work or weekend commitment. Together, we’ll develop programming, host events, and mentor the next generation of female chess players.

• Passionate about chess and advancing gender equity in the game.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and excited to build a nonprofit from scratch.
• Comfortable teaching and working with children, with a focus on fostering confidence and growth.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to help drive the mission forward.
• Availability for a weekly after-work or weekend commitment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in coaching or teaching chess.
• Creative ideas for programming and outreach to grow our community.
• Familiarity with nonprofit operations or a willingness to learn.
