Algorithm Engineer with CFD/PDE background

We are developing state-of-the-art technologies to solve real-world problems using our propriety specialized computing platform, based on a pure laser computing paradigm, that helps enterprises to boost their performance.  

Job Description 

We are seeking a highly skilled researcher to join our team, to be responsible for researching and formulating cutting-edge algorithms tailored to the Laser Processing Unit (LPU) and serving as a domain expert for CFD/PDE. The research combines strong algorithmics within the CFD realm. In this role, you will collaborate closely with physicists, mathematicians, engineers, data scientists, and software developers, the majority holding a Ph.D. in their fields, to implement these algorithms on our platform and solve complex challenges across various industries. In addition, you will assist the laser hardware team in simulating and solving various engineering challenges related to the actual hardware implementation of the LPU.

Key Responsibilities 

·        Design algorithms to run on our unique computing platform 

·        Help guiding our technology to gain competitive advantage in the CFD field

·        Design solutions for a wide range of real-world problems 

·        Engage with clients to define their requirements  

·        Keep up to date with the latest academic and industry literature 

·        Be the subject matter expert for the company in CFD/PDE solutions

·        Oversee relevant simulation efforts for the hardware team

Requirements 

·        Ph.D. in Physics, EE or Math

·        5+ years of industrial experience in algorithm development

·        5+ years of experience in numerical algorithms for CFD

·        Strong, proven ability in academic research

·        Willing to explore “terra incognita”

·        Proficiency in Python 

·        Team player 

Advantages 

·        Fluency in C++ and/or CUDA 

·        Experience with optimization algorithms 

·        Experience in machine learning and data science 

·        Broad disciplinary spectrum of experience
