Laser Welding System Technician - Medical Devices

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Interact with management to participate in the development of the Laser SOP. Advise the MFG Engineer regarding improvements in production procedures and tools.
• Operate the laser welding system and ensure safe operation and processes. Prepare and submit operation and welding reports for documentation and manufacturing control.
• The Operator takes care of System maintenance, tools & sub-system calibration.
• Develop and maintain Operating Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.  
• Involvement in R&D trials and assisting the designers in performing approval tests.

Responsibilities Related to QA Activities:

• Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to the product and process quality system.
• Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system.
• Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
• Implement the solutions.

Requirements:

• Technician / Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline. 
• Five or more years of metal welding experience.
• Experience working with miniature components and very accurate assemblies.
• Scientifically trained and technically competent in all areas relating to laser welding aspects.
• Proficient in the use of modern management and communication tools.
