Head of Security & IT (Portfolio Company Role)

An early-stage company in the AI infrastructure space is seeking a hands-on Head of Security & IT to take full ownership of the company's security, IT operations, and compliance efforts. This role is critical to ensuring systems and processes are secure, compliant, and efficiently managed to support the organization's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Security Ownership: Lead and manage all aspects of the company's security posture, ensuring compliance with frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
• IT Management: Oversee IT operations, including systems, hardware, software, and networks, ensuring smooth and secure functionality across the organization.
• Questionnaire Management: Respond to customer and third-party security questionnaires, audits, and inquiries.
• Security Operations: Implement tools, conduct vulnerability assessments, and maintain secure configurations for systems, cloud environments, and IT infrastructure.
• Incident Management: Handle security incidents and IT issues from detection to resolution, with post-incident analysis and prevention measures.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary contact for security and IT-related discussions with customers, partners, and internal teams.
• Culture of Security and IT Excellence: Drive awareness and integrate security and IT best practices across all teams and workflows.

Key Requirements:

• 4-5 years of hands-on experience in security and IT operations with a proven track record in compliance and technical leadership.
• Strong expertise in security tools, IT systems, and cloud platforms.
• Experience managing security questionnaires, audits, and compliance initiatives.
• Exceptional communication skills, including fluent English proficiency, to engage with diverse stakeholders including representing the company in front of customers.
• A proactive approach and accountability for ensuring the organization's security, IT integrity, and operational efficiency.
