Physics Application Engineer

SMX, an expanding multidisciplinary start-up, is looking for physicists and application engineers for its physics-chemistry-materials oriented technology. Some of the company's projects can be viewed at https://smx.tech/media.

Main responsibilities:

• Lead physical aspects of projects in full cooperation with various departments within the company.
• Develop a unique physical system for material characterization and adapt it to diverse applications.
• Improve existing measurement capabilities and define new technical specifications for the system through the design and execution of hands-on simulations and experiments.
• Manage outsourcing companies for the joint development of specialized systems, including:
• Identifying and establishing relationships with subcontractors for various departmental needs
• Closely monitoring new joint development processes

Main requirements:

• B.Sc in materials/mechanical/chemistry engineering, or a related field
• Tech background and orientation
• Performance both as a team player and independently
• Thrive under pressure of multitude of tasks
• Creative thinking and ability to apply
• Willing to a significant amount of travels, local and abroad
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, responsible, self-motivated, and independent
• Hands-on approach
• Excellent English, particularly in technical writing
• Fast learner
• Good communication skills
