Vice President Research And Development

One of our clients, A fast-growing and innovative digital health company is seeking an experienced VP of R&D to lead their dynamic research and development team. Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a key member of the executive leadership team, the VP of R&D will be responsible for driving product innovation and overseeing a multidisciplinary team of 15 professionals, including mobile developers, QA, NOC, and backend engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary R&D team, including mobile development (iOS/Android), QA, NOC, and backend infrastructure.
• Shape and execute the company's technology strategy in alignment with business goals.
• Oversee the full development lifecycle from concept to release, ensuring on-time delivery and high-quality outcomes.
• Mentor team leads and senior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
• Continuously improve development processes to enhance team productivity and product scalability.
• Stay informed of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive product and infrastructure improvements.
• Work cross-functionally with departments such as product management, customer success, and operations.
• Drive initiatives to improve system performance, security, and scalability across platforms.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a senior R&D leadership role, such as VP or Director in a tech-driven company.
• Strong background in software development, with hands-on experience in mobile platforms, backend infrastructure, and cloud technologies.
• Demonstrated experience managing teams of 15+ across mobile development, QA, and infrastructure.
• Proficient in agile methodologies with experience optimizing development processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (advanced degrees preferred).
