IT/DevOps Engineer

Secret Double Octopus is looking for an accomplished IT Engineer, with some DevOps experience or an interest in expanding their career to DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure (Physical and Virtual)
• Handling and supporting Microsoft-based & Linux-based environments
• Supporting the R&D environment and daily IT support tickets
• Providing end-user support for local and remote users
• Automating processes and tasks using various scripting languages and tools
• SaaS applications administration
• You will have an opportunity to learn/extend your DevOps skills and work with production AWS-based SaaS systems.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Linux with good problem-solving skills
• Experience in managing Microsoft infrastructure (Windows servers and clients, Active Directory, SQL Server, Exchange, DHCP, DNS, IIS, GPO)
• Networking knowledge and understanding: TCP/IP protocols, switches, VLANs, VPNs and Firewalls
• Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere & vCenter installation, management, design, and implementation
• Good interpersonal skills and communication
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Ability to lead tasks and missions without direct supervision

Advantage:

• Experience with Cloud environments
• Experience with DevOps tools (Source Control, configuration management, CI/CD, containers)
• Shell scripting proficiency (Bash/PowerShell)
