We're looking for a Head of AI to lead our efforts in developing agentic AI solutions that power a new era of interaction between intelligent systems and online platforms.

In this role, you'll be at the forefront of building and deploying advanced AI technologies that redefine what AI agents are capable of. You'll be a key player in shaping our AI strategy, working alongside talented engineers, product managers, and designers to bring our vision to life. This is an opportunity to be a part of an early-stage company where your contributions will directly impact the product, the technology, and the future of the agentic web.

We are seeking an AI leader (or future AI leader) who thrives in a hands-on environment, is ready to embrace the challenges of a startup setting, and can handle both the plusses and minuses that come with it. We want someone who is passionate about pushing the boundaries of AI capability. As the Head of AI at Aigency, you will lead the development of models and strategies that ensure our agents can autonomously interact with complex systems effectively and intelligently.

What We're Looking For

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field required; Master's or PhD preferred.
• Industry Experience: At least 5 years of industry experience as a software engineer or applied researcher, preferably with exposure to applied AI research or developing agent systems.
• AI and ML Expertise: Deep understanding and hands-on experience with modern LLM architectures, reinforcement learning, AI-driven decision-making frameworks, and familiarity with tools like PyTorch and TensorFlow. Experience with multimodal and vision models, as well as large Transformer models, is highly valued. This role is ideal for someone with a background in applied AI research who is eager to see their creations live in actual products (but AI applied research experience is not required). Bonus points for any experience at work or side projects building AI agents!
• Research and Production Balance: Ability to lead cutting-edge AI research with a focus on long-term memory, planning, and reasoning, and transition these innovations into production-ready models.
• Rapid Prototyping Skills: Ability to quickly translate research ideas into practical, deployable models using supervised fine-tuning and iterative testing.
• Leadership: Experience leading and inspiring cross-functional teams, creating AI strategies, and developing processes that bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and real-world application.
• Collaboration and Communication: Ability to effectively communicate complex research findings and collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate research insights into impactful, practical solutions.
• Software Engineering: Strong foundation in software development practices, with the ability to deploy models into production in a robust, scalable manner.
• Data Strategy: Knowledge of data curation, collection, and management practices that enhance model performance and adaptability.
• Startup Mindset: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment where adaptability and resourcefulness are key.
• Technical Breadth: Solid understanding of systems engineering, scalable solutions for large-scale data processing, and familiarity with Transformer models such as GPT or LLaMA. Bonus points for experience with multimodal or vision models.
