Salesforce Data Cloud is seeking a visionary Engineering Director to lead and shape the future of our platform team. In this strategic leadership role, you will drive the design, optimization, and evolution of our platform, enabling organizations to unify, govern, and activate enterprise knowledge from a range of third-party systems, all to power exceptional AI-driven CRM experiences.

Our mission is to seamlessly integrate unstructured data from diverse sources into a unified, AI-powered knowledge graph within Salesforce Data Cloud. As Engineering Director, you will build and lead a high-performing team focused on building scalable solutions that transform unstructured data into actionable insights. Your leadership will be pivotal in driving our strategic vision, advancing intelligent automation, and enabling deeper customer engagement and data-driven decision-making at the enterprise level.

Your Impact

• Define and communicate the long-term vision, mission, and strategic direction for the Enterprise Knowledge platform, ensuring alignment with broader Data Cloud goals.
• Partner with Product Management and other technical leaders to define and execute a roadmap that advances platform capabilities and aligns with customer needs.
• Oversee the recruitment, training, and mentoring of engineering talent, driving the continuous growth of the team to meet evolving demands.
• Ensure the successful and timely delivery of engineering projects, balancing competing priorities and risks while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Implement best practices and efficient engineering processes, creating a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring alignment across all teams.
• Champion new technologies and innovative solutions to ensure the platform evolves to support next-gen AI capabilities and enterprise-level scalability.
  
  

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in engineering leadership, with at least 5 years in a director or senior management role leading high-performance teams.
• Strong technical background in distributed systems, data architecture, and AI-driven solutions, with deep experience in managing complex, high-scale platforms.
• Proven ability to successfully deliver complex products from conception through launch, with a focus on scalability, security, and performance.
• Ability to balance long-term vision with tactical execution, making informed decisions in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
• Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)
