Director of Product Management

We (BTC Searching) are collaborating with a High-Growth Fintech Company that delivers state-of-the-art AI-powered SaaS solutions to global enterprise clients, including financial institutions and regulatory bodies. With over $30 million in annual revenue, this company is a trailblazer in the fintech industry, seeking a Director of Product Management to lead their product strategy and execution.

This high-level position requires a strong technical foundation in software development and a proven track record in leading product teams. The role focuses on back-end systems, AI infrastructure, and managing a team of up to ~5 product managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Product Ownership: Take full accountability for the entire product lifecycle, from concept to delivery, with an emphasis on back-end systems and AI technologies.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of 3-7 product managers, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
• Roadmap Development & Execution: Define, prioritize, and execute a technical roadmap that drives innovation and delivers enterprise-grade solutions.
• Technical Collaboration: Partner closely with development teams to ensure that technical specifications and designs are feasible and aligned with strategic goals.
• Customer-Focused Innovation: Engage with enterprise clients to gather feedback and tailor solutions that meet their complex needs.
• Requirement Specification: Translate business goals, customer insights, and product strategy into detailed technical requirements and user stories for development teams.

Requirements

• Leadership Experience: 4+ years managing product teams, with a focus on coaching and developing team members.
• Extensive Product Management Expertise: 8+ years in product management, preferably within B2B, SaaS, and enterprise contexts.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of back-end systems, infrastructure, and AI-based technologies.
• Education: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Industry Experience: Previous experience in the financial industry or payment products is advantageous (nice to have)
• Enterprise Client Engagement: Proven ability to work closely with enterprise clients to gather insights and ensure the product meets their requirements.
• Inbound & Outbound Activities: Experience in both technical (inbound) product development and client-facing (outbound) activities.
• Lifecycle Management: Demonstrated ability to manage products across all stages, from concept to ongoing support.
• Experience in software development is essential, with a preference for candidates who have transitioned from development into product management roles.

Preferred Skills

• AI Expertise: Familiarity with AI-powered solutions and their application in enterprise systems.
• UX Management: Experience leading UX teams alongside product managers is an added advantage.
