Java Software Engineer

A startup company developing open-source software for the developer community. The company has recently raised a significant $13 million seed round and is backed by strong American venture capital firms, as well as Y Combinator alumni.

Located in Tel Aviv, near the train station and light rail, the company has a team of 15 employees, the majority of whom are based in Israel (R&D).

Founded by two experienced entrepreneurs, the company is focused on creating technology that helps developers efficiently fix production issues through open-source software that monitors applications without requiring code changes, unlike other market solutions.

The company is experiencing significant growth and has American clients using the product.

Role Overview-

• Backend development in Go with a focus on building the company’s open search product and business logic.
• Work with Kubernetes and report directly to the CTO.
• Develop and maintain our open-source and enterprise products, with a focus on creating Kubernetes Operators in Go.
• Integrate and instrument libraries to enhance observability, ensuring robust and seamless distributed tracing across various application environments.
• Work closely with clients to understand their needs, address their issues, and ensure the solutions meet their expectations.
• Engage with the community and contribute to building a strong user base around the products.

Requirements-

• 5 years of experience in Backend Engineering
• Proficiency in Java, Scala, or Kotlin
• Experience working with Kubernetes
• Previous experience in large tech companies
