Research Assistant

The Molecular Biology Lab of the Department of Surgery and Transplantation at Sheba Medical Center is looking for a research assistant.

We study the role of immune suppression mechanisms in various pathological and physiological conditions such as cancer, organ transplantation, and liver regeneration. Conducting both basic and translational research, our main goal is to apply knowledge obtained in the lab to clinical practice in order to improve patient diagnosis and treatment. As part of the Sheba surgical division, we have access to an unparalleled abundance of clinical samples, and we benefit from direct interaction with patients, which allows us to focus on the most burning clinical challenges.

We are a new and rapidly-growing lab, and we are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic MSc graduate to join our team.

Qualifications:

MSc degree in life sciences.

Hands-on experience with flow cytometry, cell culture, and basic molecular biology techniques.

Experience working with mice- an advantage.

Background in immunology- an advantage.

Ability to work independently and manage research projects, excellent organization skills, reliability, high motivation and proactivity.
