Experienced proposal writer for EU R&D project proposals

The Research Authority at Bar Ilan University (https://research.biu.ac.il/) is looking for an experienced and highly motivated proposal writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a scientific background (PhD), a passion for writing, an appetite to gain knowledge in various fields and knowledge of the European Union’s (EU) funding programmes for Research & Development. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, writing and submitting proposals to secure funding for our projects from EU funding programmes.

Job description:

Provide guidance and support to researchers in the preparation and writing of scientific grant proposals for European Union funding including:

• Working with researchers to identify grants/calls for proposals that match their interests/objectives
• Assisting the researcher in developing proposals according to the guidelines of the European Union funding authority
• Overseeing preparation of grant proposals, including building the consortium
• Assisting the researcher with the writing and editing of the proposal
• Communicating with consortium partners
• Conducting a final review of proposals and ensuring timely submission

Education/Experience/Language requirements:

• At least a master’s degree - a PhD is a distinct advantage
• Ability to comprehend various academic fields
• Knowledge and experience in writing and editing scientific grants - mandatory
• Familiarity with the European Union research funding framework
• Competence in coordinating and preparing large funding applications
• Knowledge and experience working with relevant computer software programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, TEAMS)
• Knowledge and experience in innovation & technology transfer commercialization, Intellectual Property rights an advantage
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with researchers in multidisciplinary and international environment
• Ability to plan own work, prioritize and have good stress tolerance
• Native-level English skills required
• Professional working proficiency in Hebrew
