We are hiring a Director of Engineering to lead a team of technical experts in planning, building, and managing our Management group. This role involves recruitment, mentoring, and day-to-day management, as well as guiding the architecture, design, and development of complex multi-tenant cloud services. In addition, the role ensures our infrastructure aligns with the company's vision and strategic goals, fostering innovation in networking and security.

Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for managing and leading a 30+ team of highly technical experts to plan, build, and run the Management and infra group
• Lead an excellent team – through recruitment, mentoring, and day-to-day management  
• Possessing thought leadership for new products and technologies within the group
• Develop a deep understanding of the company’s vision and strategic planning and make sure our backend and frontend Infrastructure is built to support the same ideas.
• Leading the architecture, design, and development of complex multi-tenant cloud services.
• End to End ownership of our Backend and frontend infra
• Leading our enterprise grade products roadmap and vision 
• Collaborate with other engineering groups, product management, automation, operations, and more to deliver and support integrative features 
• Innovate to extend Cato capabilities in the Networking and Security worlds 
• Take part in the leadership of our engineering team, and contribute to the wider organization 
• Maintaining the team culture for an inclusive and safe environment to share opinions and allow individuals to grow within the organization
• End to End development from the processing of large-scale data to web interfaces.
• Researching new technologies and adapting them for use within the company’s product
  
  

• 5+ years of experience as an engineering manager (managing managers) of a large-scale multi tenant cloud solution with proven management experience leading winning development teams.    
• 5+ years of web development. We’re using Java, Go, Spring Boot, React, TypeScript, GQL, etc.   
• Experience in architecture, design, and development of complex multi-tenant cloud services – Must.  
• Experience working on large monitoring and analytics projects.
• Experience in building and operating SaaS microservices with high scale and load in production. 
• Experience testing services in continuous integration methodology.   
• Experience owning a full product lifecycle with frequent release cycles  
• Motivated, a fast learner, independent and great at problem solving 
• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills  
• BSc. degree in Computer Science from a known university
