Position Overview

Beyond22 is seeking a driven and intellectually curious associate to join our team. As a core member of our venture studio, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, evaluating, and executing investments in innovative consumer startups, as well as providing value to our portfolio companies and helping them grow. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence our investment strategy and contribute to the success of early stage ventures.

Our ideal candidate combines strong analytical and business skills with the ability to own and manage a wide variety of tasks and special projects. Responsibilities

Data Analysis

• Research market dynamics, industry trends, consumer needs, and competitive landscapes to evaluate investments and identify emerging risks and opportunities.
• Maintain benchmarks and competitor insights to support portfolio strategy and identify growth opportunities or potential pivots.
• Explore new investment themes, consumer categories, and markets to refine Beyond22’s overall strategy and focus.

Business Development

• Source and generate new investment opportunities through proactive outreach and by building relationships with entrepreneurs, advisors, and industry professionals.
• Manage the investment pipeline by tracking and responding to inbound opportunities, ensuring efficient follow-up and prioritization.
• Contribute to Beyond22’s marketing and brand building efforts by authoring content, attending events, and supporting strategic thought leadership initiatives.

Operations

• Develop reports and materials for internal use, and maintain regular communication with both prospective and portfolio companies to ensure alignment and drive progress.
• Refine and implement internal processes to enhance efficiency in deal evaluation, portfolio management, and overall firm operations.
• Contribute to ad hoc projects that advance Beyond22’s strategic objectives.

Experience and Requirements

• Prior experience in venture capital, consultancy firm, or business analysis.
• Familiarity with the global consumer space is a significant advantage.
• Experience in business development or marketing is an advantage.
• Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends and produce actionable insights from complex data.
• Creative and entrepreneurial mindset, with a demonstrated ability to manage projects independently and proactively.
• Self driven learner, with a passion for acquiring and applying new knowledge and skills.
