AV Technician

Job Description

Wix IT is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Audio-Visual Technician to join the team supervising our Wix Meet & Learn complex at the Wix campus.

• Set up and operate audio-visual equipment including projectors, microphones, speakers, mixers, cameras, and video screens for events, meetings, conferences, and presentations.
• Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and troubleshoot any technical issues that arise during events.
• Collaborate with event organizers, presenters, and other staff to determine audio-visual requirements and provide technical support as needed.
• Maintain an inventory of audio-visual equipment, ensuring that all items are properly stored, maintained, and accounted for.
• Assist with the planning and execution of audio-visual setups for new installations or upgrades in meeting rooms, auditoriums, and other facilities.
• Train staff members on the proper use of audio-visual equipment and provide ongoing technical support and guidance.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in audio-visual technology, making recommendations for equipment upgrades or enhancements as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations when handling and operating audio-visual equipment.
• Provide support for live streaming, video recording, and post-production editing as required.
• Maintain a professional and customer-focused demeanor at all times, ensuring a positive experience for clients and event attendees.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Proven experience working as an audio-visual technician or in a similar technical role.
• Strong knowledge of audio-visual equipment, systems, and protocols.
• Proficiency with audio-visual software and editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar programs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and clients.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work flexible hours, including evenings as needed.
• Certification or training in audio-visual technology or related fields is a plus.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality audio-visual experiences.
• Bonus points- previous experience in running an auditorium - audio, video and lighting systems.

We are Wix’s IT Team. We provide technical assistance and support to Wix employees regarding computers, servers, hardware, software, and events on a global scale. We take care of everything from configuration to control and maintenance, troubleshooting, and monitoring, using the newest technology for device management services, Ansible, and automation engines. We build fully automated processes for monitoring, purchasing, security incidences, SLM, CRM, etc.
